Mass Transit: Translink provides bus, ferry and light-rail service in the Greater Vancouver Area, and BCTransit provides local bus services elsewhere throughout the province. Typical fares for adults are currently around $2.50, for a sixty or ninety-minute transit ticket.

Water: BCFerries provides the waterborne transport across the water from the Mainland to Vancouver Island, and the various Gulf Islands. Click the following links for current fare and route information.

Rail: VIA Rail Canada provides regular rail service both in Mainland Canada and on Vancouver Island.

The United States Rail authority "Amtrak" operates the Cascades route, providing a daily link between Vancouver and Seattle - currently one train a day in each direction.

The Rocky Mountaineer is a tour train, which operates to and from Vancouver, between Mid-April to Mid-October. Destinations from Vancouver include Banff, Alberta; Calgary, Alberta; Jasper, Alberta; and Whistler, British Columbia.

Translink's West Coast Express trains offer service between Downtown Vancouver and the Fraser Valley on Weekdays, with coaches on weekends and holidays.

Air: Westjet flies into most British Columbia Airports from other Canadian Airports, as well as American and some Central-American airports. Canadian-Affair is a popular airline site, serving Vancouver and many other points throughout Canada, from the United Kingdom and Ireland.
